This summer I was part of a group of 5 Explorer Scouts that undertook our Gold Duke of Edinburgh hike in the Breacon Beacons National Park, after completing our practise expedition in Snowdonia National Park during the Spring Holidays. 8th Chelmsford Launch Hut Appeal

Groups and Societies who make use of the 8^th Chelmsford Scout Hut located in the heart of the Melbourne Estate came together to launch an appeal to raise £250,000 for new premises. The present hut was built by volunteers 60 years ago and needs replacing with modern, accessible facilities. Plans include off-road parking, kitchens, stores, a hall and an indoor climbing wall.

About the District Team

District Communications and Media

The District Communications and Media team exist to support internal and external communications within the district. This includes Chats, mailing lists, contact with local and national media and this website.

An important aim of the team is the involvement of young people as reporters, photographers, etc. We are always on the lookout for Scouters of all ages who would like to be involved in any capacity.
